Play with Ubuntu

Hey, ever want to play with GNU/Linux yet fear of unforeseen collapsing? Try the free VMware player! I'm here, writing this blog in Ubuntu Linux 5.10 hosted by VMware player.

Everything seems going very well. I can easily switch from Windows to Ubuntu and vice versa. I don't need to configure network - Internet connection is just there, waiting for you. With my laptop of Dothan 740 and 512M RAM, Ubuntu runs happily. The only trouble is that I cannot input Chinese here, and Chinese characters seem rather ugly. :(

I'm not familiar with Ubuntu yet, as well as other GNU/Linux distros. I think VMware player is an ideal choice for me to take a look, get a feel and, if I wish, prepare for future migration to Linux. I enthusiastically suggest you have a try too, if you are curious and have some free time on hand.

Below are some useful resources.

VMware Player, free for downloading and using.
Virtual Machine Center, download the pre-configured virtual machines, abundant, from official or community.

Finally, a screenshot from Ubuntu. :)
